Merry Christmas everyone.
I just got a sim card reader and plugged it into
my PC (fedora core 3). It shows up as a usb to
serial converter "Prolific Technology, Inc. PL2303 Serial Port" and
seems to loads modules pl2303 and usbserial.
Just to see what output I could get I did DD bs=16 if=/dev/ttyUSB0 and I
get a screen of garbage.
Does anyone know if the is any programs available
to read and write to the SIM.

Regards

There not usable programs but they might set you in the right direction.

Also the a copy of GSM Spec relating to the packet types should be helpful.
